State of the Town Address, 7 p.m.
The Board of Selectmen and Vision 2020 cordially invite all Arlington residents to The Annual State of the Town Address to be given by Kevin Greeley, Chairman, Arlington Board of Selectmen. Refreshments will follow the address.
Mayor of Nagaokakyo Japan to Address Town Meeting, 8 p.m.
Annual Town Meeting will begin for Town Meeting members at Town Hall Auditorium. This year, Mayor Yutaka Oda from Nagaokakyo, Japan will address Town Meeting to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Sister City Relationship between Nagaokakyo and Arlington.
Special Town Meeting To Begin at 8:30 p.m.
The Special Town Meeting is scheduled to commence at 8:30 p.m. Special Town Meeting looks at changes to the FY09 Budget in response to the Governor's 9C cuts and appropriations for the Thompson School and Highland and Central fire stations.
The public is welcome to attend Town Meeting, but are restricted to balcony seating. Only Town Meeting members are allowed on the floor while Town Meeting is in session.
Town Meeting meets every Monday and Wednesday at Town Hall until all warrant articles are voted upon. Each session begins at 8 p.m. and, in most cases, ends at 11 p.m.
