The Arlington Board of Health is gearing up for the 2011 flu season. Volunteer opportunities exist for both medical and non-medical personnel. If you are interested in becoming a Medical Reserve Corp (MRC) volunteer please download the MRC application at arlingtonma.gov/health.
Vaccination clinics are expected to begin in mid-September and run through the end of the year. A complete schedule of targeted and public clinics will be available in early September. When the schedule is available a Town of Arlington Notice will be sent via email. To subscribe to Town of Arlington Notices, please visit arlingtonma.gov/subscriber.
An important MRC training will be held on Thursday, September 8 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Senior Center, 27 Maple St, in the ground floor conference room. The training will focus on the 2011 vaccine, important updates on insurance billing as well as an overview of the flu vaccination process. Light refreshments will be served. If you are attending the training, please RSVP by August 30 to pbrennan@town.arlington.ma.us.
